Tony6905 > Roger DeLong, I made Sp/4 while assigned to A Battery. At this time I took over from SP/4 Carlson who was transferred. Previous to this I worked in the IFC and trained on the radars. I was sent to Ft. Beleivor for Engineering School along with another from the launching area. Lt. Anderson promised who completed the school he would promote to E-5. The other fellow failed out and I made it through. On return to base someone congratulated me on making Sgt. as he saw my name on the guard detail. I was later told they changed the detail and I was removed. The other fellow was promoted to E-5 which was a good thing I guess as I did not want to go the launching area.
